Our Responsibilities:

Lampton Leisure is committed to environmental sustainability and positively contributing to the local community environment that we serve. Our aim is to introduce, promote and enhance sustainable solutions within the centres we manage and within our business operations.

To consider systems that protect biodiversity and ecology and set achievable objectives and targets to reduce energy and water consumption, and carbon production.

We will do this through the implementation and review of the following objectives.

  • Quantify and monitor the environmental impact of the business
  • Minimise our carbon footprint through application of best practice and a proactive approach towards net zero
  • Work with our partners and suppliers to reduce the environmental impact of our business
  • Minimise the environmental impact of transport associated with our business
  • Work with our customers to reduce their environmental impact when using our facilities

Working Towards Net Zero Buildings and Facilities

We are working with our local authority partner, The London Borough of Hounslow, to reduce the environmental impact of our operations. This is a long-term strategy necessitating the need for more efficient buildings, efficient plant and equipment.

We will do this by:

  • Engaging with London Borough of Hounslow to seek funding through the Government’s Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS) and implementation of specific projects
  • Optimisation of building plant and equipment through smart building technology projects
  • Ensuring centres are powered by renewable energy tariffs
  • Engagement with managers and staff through training in carbon literacy and environmental issues

Our People Will:

  • Carry out tasks in an environmental and energy efficient way to reduce operational waste and costs
  • Actively participate in training to ensure awareness of company environmental policy and to apply knowledge when carrying out duties to achieve delivery of company objectives and energy targets
  • Report any situations, suggestions or customer feedback to improve day to day environmental and energy management performance within our centres
